Hey there, it's time for your puppy's first groom. WOOOF’s Puppy Program is designed to introduce your dog to grooming while they’re young and set them up for a lifetime of happy and safe grooming experiences. No matter the size or breed, it’s important their grooming experience gets off to a good start. The program aligns with your puppy’s vaccinations to ensure they stay healthy and safe.

STEP 1: Meet & greet
As soon as your puppy is fully vaccinated and has begun to socialise, we will schedule a 15 minute Meet & Greet session with an experienced groomer at WOOOF so your puppy can get familiar with us, the environment, noises and smells. We will also show you how to prepare your puppy to be groomed with simple daily activities, tricks and tips.
You’ll leave WOOOF feeling more knowledgeable and confident with a gift pack including a slicker brush valued at $25 and samples of WOOOF’s signature shampoos.
STEP 2: Luxe wash & dry (14-16 weeks)
We’ll take it slow and give your puppy lots of assurance, cuddles and natural treats. Our shampoo and conditioning treatments are 100% natural, chemical free, plant derived and vegan and made with therapy-grade essential oils that are gentle on your puppy’s new coat. This is the perfect first short-stay experience to help your puppy adjust to their first groom.
STEP 3: Tidy up (17 - 18 weeks)
Your puppy will now be ready for their first Tidy up. We will start the groom with another warm Luxe Wash and Dry, followed by a tidy of the face, ears, pads, paws and sanitary areas using scissors and clippers. We’ll also file the nails if you’re finding them a bit scratchy.
STEP 4: First full groom (18 - 20 weeks)
Now for a full groom. We’ll consult with you on the style you want to achieve. Once again we begin with a warm Luxe Wash and Dry followed by a full body clip all over to an even, consistent length. We will then hand scissor the legs, face, paws, pads, ears, and file the nails if required. Every visit includes applying natural paw butter and a conditioning cologne mist.
Ongoing maintenance
WOOOF recommends establishing a regular grooming plan every 6-8 weeks with washes in between for optimum coat and skin health. If you prefer to wash your puppy at home, in the shower, garden or at the beach, you can purchase WOOOF’s home grooming product range online or at reception.
